Stamford’s celebration of silliness returns for its sixth year with stand-up, improv, music and more antics by a slew of hilarious comics from near and far! The 6th Annual Hill People’s Comedy Fest will take place at The Belvedere Inn located at 10 Academy St. Stamford, 12167 from Thursday June 25 through Saturday June 27. Presented by The Party Theater and the Belvedere Inn, all shows will take place under the festival tent alongside the historic bar, and there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy:

Thursday 6/25

  • 6pm – Festival Kickoff Party at the BelFood pop-up, drink specials, arrive early to warm up your funny bone!
  • 8pm – Local Voices Comedy ShowHosted by Mary Skinner, participants of the Stamford Stand-Up class work their tight five minute sets – Ages 16+
 

Friday  6/26

  • 6pm – Free Improv Comedy WorkshopAges 12+ and no experience required
  • 7pm – Comedy BarrageShort sets by visiting comics back-to-back, hosted by Justin Raymund – Ages 16+
  • 8pm – Comedy Variety Show Sketch, Improv and Music Comedy hosted by Shaye Troha featuring Julian Fleisher and Babushka – Ages 16+

  • 1pm – Free Kids Clowning ClassAges 7-13 led by Marisa Caruso
  • 6pm – Family-Friendly Comedy ShowAges 7+ and hosted by Karen Anderson, “family-friendly doesn’t mean it’s just for kids, it just means it’s not only for adults!
  • 7pm – Comedy BarrageShort sets by visiting comics back-to-back, hosted by Larry Daly – Ages 16+
  • 8pm – Stand-Up Special featuring Festival Headliner Mia JacksonHosted by Garth Kravits with feature comics Vinny Seeram and Jae Shin

Come one night or get a weekend pass!

The Hill People’s Comedy Fest is a uniquely fun, funky weekend of entertainment featuring six shows and two workshops over three days in a scenic Catskills village. All shows are recommended for ages 16+ except for the Family-Friendly Show 6/27, 6pm which is ages 7+ (but that doesn’t mean it won’t be fun for adults too)!
Friday and Saturday also feature additional free programming, including:
  • Friday 6pm – Community Improv Comedy Workshop (ages 12+), and
  • Saturday 1pm – Free Kids’ Clowning workshop (kids 13 years and under).
Tickets are $20/show (½ price General Admission tickets for ages 15 and under for the Family-Friendly Show with code: FAM26) or $50/weekend pass– limited seating available, so grab them while you can! 
T-shirts and tote bags with the festival logos designed by artist MJ Myers will be available on-site and may be purchased in advance with your ticket order.
Come early for food by @catskillscookin Chef Dan Romero and beverages on-site at The Belvedere Inn.

About Headliner Mia Jackson:
Mia Jackson is a touring comic based in NYC and a native of Columbus, GA. When not on the road, Mia performs regularly at The Comedy Cellar. In 2025 she performed on Nate Bargatze’s comedy cruise, opened for Josh Johnson’s “Flowers” tour, opened for Jason Salmon, and completed her first USO tour through Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Djibouti. In 2022 she was an opener for Amy Schumer’s tour. 

She has written for Life & Beth (Hulu) and I Love Us (BET+). Her first original comedy pilot, Aim Higher, sold to Warner Brothers in 2021. Her second half hour special premiered on Comedy Central in Nov 2019 and her stand up has been featured on This Week at The Comedy Cellar (Comedy Central). She is featured in Kevin Hart’s new Netflix show, Funny AF. Mia is smart, funny, relatable and versatile. Her endearing comedy and bright attitude entertains all types of crowds.

The Hill People’s Comedy Fest (HPCF) is an exuberant celebration of comedy in all of its forms; stand-up, improv, sketch, music, and wild alt styles in the beautiful Western Catskills village of Stamford, NY. This festival brings nationally-acclaimed comedians together with talent from the Catskills, the Hudson Valley, NYC, and the surrounding region to entertain and mingle with the local community.
